Le Thi Tu left her home in Can Tho, Vietnam for the first time in her life, and married into a family in a far-off and unfamiliar land. She never read a map; even don’t know where Taiwan is. To improve their lives, immigrant women take a gamble; pursue the happiness in this respective voyages .Hundreds of thousands of such immigrant spouses can be found throughout Asia. This documentary interviews immigrant women in 14 cities in Taiwan, Japan , Korea, and Vietnam. It unfolds their true stories as how to fight for the immigrants’ rights and correct the racial and cultural prejudice toward them. |
